Mother Ignacia grew in a prosperous family and her family wanted for her to continue
their heritage as she is the only child they had. Even though growing up with everything
is already set in front of the table, Mother Ignacia remained humble. At the very young
age, Mother Ignacia has been contemplating in doing apostolic service. Due to the
times she experienced during her growing years, it affected the way she would deal with
others.
Although people around her never really show any agreement about her
apostolic service, since at the time only men have the privilege in servanthood but
Mother Ignacia never faltered. She left everything she had and started with only a pair
of scissor and a needle. Through it, Mother Ignacia weave her unwavering path to
apostolic service. It was an age when Christianity hardly begun in the country and
discrimination is rampant. Her faith is much stronger than the voices of discouragement.
She would willingly be in service to the people with humility, her courageous character
made her a person that has the capacity to lead in the service of God. People looked up
at her as she served as an exemplar for humble service.
