 Understand different type of network interfaces and their uses by identifying and using basic Network components, choosing appropriate network type
and media.
 Summarize network industry standards such as: the OSI model, Routing Protocols, Address Resolution and Reverse Address Resolution Protocols, IP
Addresses and Subnetting, MAC Addressing.
 Student will be able to create a wired or wireless network using network simulator and can be able to apply it on networking hardware too.
 Student will be able to interpret the traffic scenario by analyzing the given network and will be able to devise possible solution in case of congestion.

Pedagogy for Course Delivery: The class will be taught using theory and case based method. Since this is design course, students are given problems based on
designing networks, error correction, detection and network security. Technology Discussion sessions are organized on current research challenges in
Networking, their relevance and applications in industry. Case studies for new emerging technologies on networking like 5G, LIFI etc. are taken through
seminar sessions which make students relate their subject with practical implementation of theory in industry and research.
