I. PREREQUISITE : The student is expected to have passed Math 17 or its


equivalent such that he/she is capable of solving theoretical and practical problems within the level of algebra
and trigonometry.
II. CREDIT : 3.0 Units
III. COURSE OBJECTIVES :
After taking the course, the student should be able to:
1. Explain the laws, principles, and concepts governing classical mechanics, fluids, and
thermodynamics.
2. Integrate these concepts and relate them to those in other disciplines, particularly in biology and the
health sciences.
3. Analyze and solve theoretical and practical problems related to classical mechanics, fluids, and
thermodynamics.

Conditions for Exempting from Final Exams


1. No missed exams
2. No exam lower than 50.0%
3. Class Standing of 60.0% (2.50) or better

For students exempted from taking the final exam, the Class Standing will be equal to the Final Standing.
