HOD’s MESSAGE

Welcome to the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, Avanthi


Institute of engineering and Technology which is one of the premier institutions of
Andhra Pradesh. It is my pleasure and honor to represent this department as its Head
of the department and be an integral part of its endeavors.

Electronics and communication engineering is a dynamic and exciting area that


provides excellent career opportunities in various areas of technology. The department
faculties are committed to teach our students the fundamental concepts and the latest
trends via smart teaching and learning process.

The ECE Department was established in the year 2005 with an intake of 60 students
and this was increased to 120 undergraduate students in the 2011. The department
also offers a Post Graduate course in VLSI Design started in the year 2011.

The Department has excellent lab facilities which are being upgraded from time to time
and provide ample opportunities for the students to learn and innovate. The Department
organizes interactive lectures and Faculty Development Programs/ Seminars by inviting
Educationists and Technocrats from industries for the overall development of students
as well as for faculties.

The students are encouraged to participate in workshops, industrial internship, industrial


visits and seminars; along with the projects assigned during the course, these activities
enable them to broaden their outlook and build in professionalism that makes their
transition from college to industry smoother after graduation.
