Work Plans
Overview

➢ A written work plan is a document that communicates

responsibilities and specific tasks associated with the cleaning
and restoration project.
➢ The work plan is created using information gathered from the
HVAC inspection and system assessment.
Purpose

The primary purpose for providing a written work plan is to get a clear
understanding of what work tasks and procedures will be performed to
the client, the cleaning contractor, field personnel and others involved in
the project to have.
Scope of Work

➢ A scope of work shall be included that clearly identifies which

HVAC components are to be cleaned or restored, as well as
those components NOT included in the process.
➢ The scope of work shall also include the environmental
engineering controls required for the workspace, and any unique
requirements
Means and Methods

The work plan identify the specific means and methods of cleaning and
restoration that will be used for the particular project.
Safety Plan & Safety Concerns
➢ When life safety detection equipment (e.g., air duct sensors and
smoke detectors) needs to be off-line or disabled, the work plan
shall address life safety concerns, which will likely require the
input of others.
➢ It is recommended that the written work plan define the
responsibilities of each organization’s designated representative
