NARRATIVE REPORT ON TYPHOON #TISOYPH DAMAGES

National Disaster Risk Reduction Council announced that


there was a typhoon which had a possibility to landfall on the
Philippine Area of Responsibility. In their pronouncement last
December 02, 2019, the characteristics of the coming typhoon
had a large coverage which the provinces in Western Visayas
towards the direction of Northern Luzon will be experiencing
torrential rains and strong winds. On December 2, the Municipal
Disaster Risk Reduction Management declared suspension of classes
in all levels up to December 3. On the first day of suspension, the
Municipality of Calintaan did not experience inclement bad weather but on the
second day, at around 9:00 in the morning strong wind start with light rainfall, at
11:00 am branches of Narra Trees inside the school premises of Calintaan
Central School were cut down by strong winds. Roofings of the District office,
Library, Canteen, proposed medical/dental room and stock room/records room
were damaged. Two sets of DCP Packages, batch 40 and batch 29 were also
damaged.
The estimated amount damaged by Typhoon Tisoy were as follows:
Roofings- a. canteen- ₱ 20,000.00
b. District office – 10, 000.00
c. Library – 5,000.00
d. Medical/Dental Room – 20, 000.00
DCP Package - 40, 000.00
Total ₱105, 000.00

to arrived assisted by the PNP Personnels, MDRRM personnel, BFP,
BDRRM headed by the Barangay Captain, Alexander P. Jimenez, as
well as the SDRRM served as quick response team this time of
calamity. Before 6pm of December 3, 12 rooms were already
occupied by the evacuees with the total number of 863
individuals. Early on December 4, the evacuees left the schools to
see what damages were happened in their houses left by them.
