Servo stabilizer is a system, which provides stable output voltage even input power supply
voltage having the wide voltage variations. It protects the equipment from high and low voltage
problems.

As per the diagram Secondary side of Buck/Boost transformer connected in series with the
input and output of load terminals. One terminal of primary of buck-boost transformer
permanently connected to fixed tapping of auto transformer (variac), while another end connects
to motor shaft with brush mechanism. Servo Motor is fitted on top of round shape auto
transformer center point. Motor driver is an electronic circuit which controls movement of
motor.
Working principle
Voltage received from mains at input of SCVS is continuously sensed by sensing circuit and
gives feedback to main control circuit which consists of a microprocessor. This microprocessor
continuously receives values of input voltages and compares with the reference value, based on
the voltage variation it will give command to servo motor.
Based on amount of voltage observed at input, motor driver moves servo motor across the
winding of autotransformer (variac) in clockwise or anti clockwise direction, so voltage across
the primary also changes based on the tap position which is connected to the servo motor and
load voltage will be stabilized.
