Since we launched, we’ve received emails from all over the US

Uno to what they see in magazine stands in the States, only they

only fuels us to keep pushing Uno to higher limits.

vicious catfighting, intrigue and melodrama,
but upstart model Uriah Denton is having none
of that. Blessed with smashing good looks, a
passion for the trade and a determined attitude,
this Guamanian lass knows that the secret to her
happiness lies within herself. A single mother,
student, stencil artist and a fresh face in the
Asian modeling scene, Uriah Denton is building
her dream one pictorial at a time.

Uriah. That’s a very unique name.

It’s biblical, isn’t it?
Yes it is! It’s Hebrew and I believe it’s from the
Old Testament. Uriah is actually a soldier of
King David.

We’re told you’re part Cherokee.

Yes, I am. My grandfather is from South
Carolina, and my grandma is from here so I’m
really mixed. I’m also part Spanish-Chamorro,
Japanese, and Welsh, but I was born here and
have lived here all my life.

That was one hot pictorial. We hope you had a

I thought it was really fun and vibrant. I really
enjoyed the atmosphere. It was my first time to
shoot in the Philippines. Too bad I didn’t get to
see much. I only had that one day after the shoot
for shopping!

So back here, you do modeling full-time?

No, I’m part-time, but I try to find as much time
to expand a portfolio and network.

How did you get into modeling?

I’ve always wanted to be a model, and in
November a photographer approached me
and kind of let me try a ‘Flickr meet.’ There’s
a coordinator that asks photographers and
models to have a themed shoot, and a model
is just assigned to a group and throughout the
time allotted the models rotate. Some use it as
a way to expand their portfolio. I found it as a
way to find out my weak points so I could work
on them.

Would you ever consider becoming

a model full time?
Yes, I would love to. Ever since Uno gave me
this opportunity to travel, I’ve been hoping

I tried to do it on my own, I would likely be the one person dumb enough to get lost on a tiny island.
Luckily for me, the We Are Guahan (WAG) organization, as part of its continued efforts to engage

Pågat Village, and Cetti/Sella Bay. UOG professor Dr. Michael Lujan Bevacqua would be leading the
hikes, providing a fresh, historical overview of the areas. This was the perfect opportunity to not only
stomp some boonies, but also learn something in the process.

When life gives you lemons, turn them into

lemonade. Or, in the case of 45-year old actor
Charlie Sheen, a goblet of Tiger Blood. No stranger
to controversy, Hollywood’s favorite bad boy
has once again hit the popular media after his
notorious epic Las Vegas bender in February (which
involved heavy “partying” with three porn stars),
and the escalating events that followed since.

With “Duh, winning!” as his battlecry and an all

too clever sense of self-awareness, the “warlock”
is capitalizing on his superstardom (merchandise,
sold out rant-filled tour, Twitter domination) and
playing up to an audience that scarfs down his
every antic. Even though you’re not supposed to
drink any more, cheers to that, Charlie!
