Adverbs of Frequency Worksheet
Adverbs of Frequency Worksheet
28/01/20
Complete the table above with the correct PART OF SPEECH. The first one has
been done for you as an example.
Fill in the blanks below with the best adverbs of frequency (some sentences may
have more than one answer).
Read the following example and pay attention to the sentence structures. You
have 2 minutes to review the example and then 10 minutes to write your own
example paragraph. DO NOT copy – you must write ONLY about yourself.
Example:
My day starts very early. I always get up at 4 o’clock in the morning. The first
thing I have to do is to go to the Mess hall at half past four. After this is
finished, I usually have to join the formation and practice marching in the
square. If I am late, my officer will always discipline me. Usually, I am on time
but there are sometimes when I am late. After this, I often have a short break
of about five or ten minutes. I then have to go to the LRC (Language Resource
Centre). I always have to be in my classroom at 0715. Again, if I am late I will
be disciplined. I always try my best to be on time and to be ready to study hard
in the class. I sometimes do not understand what we are studying but I do try
my best and I often ask my instructor questions if I don’t understand. I really
think that this is the best way to learn English. At ten past ten I leave the
classroom for breakfast and I usually have a sandwich. I am never late for the
next class which starts at 10.40.
Now write about your day at the Technical Institute of Naval Studies (TINS).
Make sure that you use adverbs of frequency and pay close attention to your
spelling and grammar.
