II. Detailed Description of Project

A. Objective:

1. To be able to submit the requirements on time to the government in order to meet the
assurance of safety and protection

2. To be able to get an approval issued by the government agency when it comes to the local
standards for land use, zoning and construction

3. To be able to proceed in the construction or remodeling of the project

B. Requirements:

1. Challenge the Norms

Explore, this is one of the important thing my supervisor always remind us. We need to
explore of more possibilities in order to come up with a solution. Also as part of it, we have to
give our best today and even better tomorrow because everyday is a challenge.
Challenging ourselves will give the best inside of us in dealing different problems that we
are facing each and every day. Sometimes, enough is isn’t enough.

2. Ability to see the Bigger Picture

Big picture thinking is the ability to keep the bigger vision of successful leadership

without getting caught up in negative dialogues and excuses that rise with challenges at work.
The ability to see the bigger picture is when you didn’t limit yourself in one solution. This is a
power of your mind to expand in how many ways you can solve a problem.
Seeing the bigger picture will also gives hope and will turn into positivity. As long as you
can suggest to what is happening that everything that falls may turn out to be good in such other
ways.

3. Discipline

Workplace discipline is intended to be corrective rather than punitive. Discipline ensures

individuals behave in an acceptable way at the workplace and also adhere to the rules and
regulations of the organization. Self-discipline is the ability to resist impulses, maintain focus, and
see projects through to completion. It is categorized by a leader’s persistence and willpower in
dedicating their attention to a task until it is satisfactorily finished. Leaders who are high on self-
discipline are not easily distracted. They can maintain concentration despite other priorities or
requirements for their attention.

4. Faith

Every Friday of the week there is a bible study for everyone. This is one of the core
values of the company. They invite everyone to hear the words of God. Faith is needed in almost
every area of our life: work, creative projects, philanthropic efforts, small business endeavors and
even in the relationships that we build and nurture.
Faith, then, is just as important as the air we breathe. While the oxygen in the air nourishes the
body, faith nourishes the heart and the soul. It's the energy that courses through every single
fiber and cell within our beings.

FO-ACAD-IALAP-013/10OCT2019/REV.1
We live by faith, meaning that we base our behavior and decisions with trust in certain
promises of God in mind. In our everyday life, when we make decisions, we should trust that God
is there and we should make decisions and act in a way that God would approve of.

5. Decision Making

The ability to decide is when you give a solution without your supervisor without knowing
if it’s correct or wrong. Sometimes, giving a decision no matter if it’s right or wrong may help.
Decision making is important to achieve the organizational goals/objectives within given time and
budget. It searches the best alternative, utilizes the resources properly and satisfies the
employees at the workplace. As a result, organizational goals or objectives can be achieved as
per the desired result.
Every department has their own goals which is graded according to the time they
finished the task and good decision may shorten the time of the task and makes the work easier.

V. Describe your Internship Experience

Working and being one of the employee of my chosen field is not easy anymore. If I am seeing
how hard is studying, I can’t imagine that it is easy to study than to work.
Working will handle a lot of responsibilities. Everyday, you have to work 8 hours and more then
travel and sleep on your remaining hours because of being tired. However, I learned a lot and enjoyed
my training since I am starting to love what I am doing. I am having a quality time with my supervisors
and other engineers and architects. They are giving the best of they can give for me to learn.
Every Friday and mostly every pay day, we are having a lunch out and every success is a blow
out. For every birthdays, for every first day, for a job well done, our supervisors treat us with food on
different restaurants. And just like a family, they share what they can bring.
Also they let me join them to see the real world of engineering. You have to deal with people
professionally. They treat me as a young engineer that is soon to be ready in the field. Although I am
hearing unfamiliar terms but they are always there to guide me if I have questions.
I had the best colleagues I guess. I feel that I am already one of them. From the first day until
the last, I already feel comfortable talking to them and joining them everyday. Leaving my department
is like ending a semester with people I am with everyday. It is sad but I know I will come back and
always be thankful to what I learned which is the best part.
