On March 8th we will celebrate the 100th anniversary of International

Women’s Day. The core of Oxfam’s new Economic Justice campaign is
addressing food insecurity, supporting small-holder farmers, and working
to help those most vulnerable to the impacts of climate change. Women
play a critical role in feeding the world and sustaining the world’s poorest
communities, making the centennial of IWD a symbolic time for Oxfam
America.

As we prepare to launch the EJ Campaign in May 2011, we have a unique

opportunity to organize events, energize our base, and raise awareness
around our issues during this momentous occasion. Oxfam is planning on
organizing 100 events for International Women’s Day – 100 events to mark
100 years of celebrating women. We expect Oxfam America Clubs to play a
crucial role in helping us to reach this goal. Contact Will for more info.
