1 Question
Study the following electrical circuit. Find the readings of the ammeter and
voltmeter shown in the circuit.

2 Solution
Note that the resistors are connected in series. So,

R1 = 4Ω

R2 = 2Ω
R3 = 1Ω
Total resistance, R = 4 + 2 + 1 = 7Ω
Total current, I = V /R = 73 A
Potential Difference across 1Ω = IR1 = 37 1 = 37 V
