Reaction Paper in Environment

The WALL-E movie shows a robot named Wall-E who is tasked with cleaning up the waste humans left behind on Earth after they abandoned the increasingly polluted planet. The film serves as a warning about overdependence on technology and disregard for the environment, showing that if trends continue then Earth could become an uninhabitable wasteland like in the movie. It encourages people today to be less reliant on technology and to make more effort to protect the planet from damage. If current environmental destruction and ignorance of warnings continues on the path shown in the film, then our world may end up in a similar degraded state to the future one depicted in WALL-E.

Wall-E Movie

WALL-E, short for Waste Allocation Load Lifter Earth-class, is the last robot left on Earth.
The WALL-E movie is a representation of how the future would look like if we use the
technology advancement irresponsibly. Also, it talks about the relationship to science and
description area because it describe how the environment and what can happen in the future. It
starts with a robot named Wall-E and he has been assigned to clean up Earth from all the waste
that the humans have left behind. It shows him coming out of his house that is full of little
different things that humans would think are trash but he does not know what they are and
considers them treasures. Nowadays, people are more care less about our planet to the extent
where the mankind has to abandon the Earth because it became a wasteland with nothing able
to grow.

Technology has been perfected in this future world and the entire population lives in a
fully advancement. People become over dependent on technology, and it makes them both
mentally and physically lazy that leads to the breakdown of the earth. There are far too many
similar trends between our world and the future world depicted in this film, and this film may
serve as a warning to us and the way we are living our lives. Same thing between us and the
machines, we loved machines, we created them, and wanted them to look the way we want.
WALL-E become so human is because WALL-E was affected by the environment, true, but as a
human being, we did not realize that environment has already shaped by technology and
artificial intelligences do the rest. So, if we want machines to continue to be our future
betterment, we need to train our machines. We the human who can control them, we the
human who can program our robot the way we want, how we want our robots to look, to
speak, to act is all our choice. Most importantly, we need to love our creation first, so that our
creation will love us back in the future. This problems of a modern society are not address and
leads to a world similar to that in the movie. With the damages being done to the environment
and the lack of care that is prevalent, it is clear that most people do not care for the safety of
our world.

It served as a reminder that we, as a society, need to make an effort to save our planet
now rather than have to evacuate like they did in the film. The God said: “Let Us make man in
Our image, according to Our likeness; and let them rule over the fish of the sea and over the
birds of the sky and over the cattle and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that
creeps on the earth.” (Genesis 1:26) The stages of destruction to our own environment is very
similar to what probably happened in the film. If we continue down this path we have laid out
for ourselves and continue to ignore the warnings, our world won’t end up much different from
the future world. Movies about technology handling people are created already. This stills in
our hands. We have to learn how to live with technology. This movie can become true and this
is that part that scares me when everybody will be acting like machines and receive orders from
a robot. It is incredible but hope we do not get into that time in our lives. If the worlds revolves
and see the future in the film It could encourage humans today to be less dependent on
technology and start reusing items instead of throwing them away and save the mother earth
as soon as possible so that we can survive and live peacefully to our beloved land.

No Impact Man (2009)

An environment consists of the surroundings or conditions in which a person, animal, or

plant lives in or operates. The environment is a home shared by every person on Earth and
there is a duty, as a people, to protect it. Today, it is threatened by the actions of the people
living here. The planet’s climate is warming and the very existence of its inhabitants is at risk. A
new kind of lifestyle must be adopted to cure the damage brought to us by our own actions.

Nature has been in existence long before humans and ever since it has taken care of
mankind and nourished it forever. In other words, it offers us a protective layer which guards us
against all kinds of damages and harms. We fulfill our healthy lifestyle by eating and drinking
healthy, which nature gives us. Similarly, it provides us with water and food that enables us to
do so. Further, the air we breathe and the wood we use for various purposes are a gift of nature
only. But, with technological advancements, people are not paying attention to nature. The
need to conserve and balance the natural assets is rising day by day which requires immediate
attention. Also, as a society we are embedded in a culture of consumption. It brings out a
passion in people to have things in order to make them feel better. This "passion" becomes a
powerful force that makes people make some unwise decisions in their life. The money
consumers spend on these goods could be going to the ever-surmounting needs for health
care, poverty help, or other things that would help the society as a whole. In addition, various
means of transportation depend on electricity only. Trams and metros carry thousands of
people every day. All this is made possible due to electricity only. Electricity boosts our modern
life and helps in making it civilized. But if we try making use of natural light more it can lead us
to a bright world that we needed. Some of us keep the lights off in the morning and afternoons.
Make do with the natural light as it is enough. We must replace all our old appliances as they
consume a lot of electricity. In other words, we must strive to make our homes energy efficient.
According to Theodore Roosevelt “To waste, to destroy our natural resources, to skin and
exhaust the land instead of using it so as to increase its usefulness, will result in undermining in
the days of our children the very prosperity which we ought by right to hand down to them
amplified and developed.”

Human beings depend upon the natural resources for their development activities. We
can preserve the natural resources by reducing our dependence on non-renewable resources
and using more renewable resources. This also helps in keeping our environment free from
pollution. But, human being have not yet realized the importance of natural resources. If the
resources are not used wisely, it would create an imbalance in the environment. Natural
resources are a present for the creation. These help in satisfying the human needs to its fullest.
Furthermore, the rational use of natural resources maintains the earth’s atmosphere. Also, the
wise use leads to protection of bio-diversity. “Earth provides enough to satisfy every man's
needs, but not every man's greed.” Mahatma Gandhi. Humans cannot imagine their lives
without natural resources. Thus, the conservation of the same is essential.
