Grade System

The document outlines a grade system that assigns scores from 0-99 to letter grades ranging from O (Outstanding) to F (Fail). An A score ranges from 70-79 and is considered Very Good. Each subject is worth 4 credits on a 10 point scale, for a total of 200 credits used to calculate a semester grade point average (SGPA). Practical scores are the average of theory and practical marks. In the event of a tie in SGPA, rank is determined by the higher grade in these priority subjects: Economics, Computer Science, Analytics, Statistics, then Mathematics.

GRADE SYSTEM -

GRADE SCORE CLASSIFICATION

O 90-99 Outstanding
E 80-89 Excellent
A 70-79 Very Good
B 60-69 Good
C 50-59 Fair
D 40-49 Below Average
F <40 Fail

NOTE -

1. Each subject has a total of 4 credits on a 10 point scale. Hence the total number of credits on which the
SGPA is calculated is 200.

2. In a subject that has practicals, the total marks is arrived at by taking the average of the marks secured in the
theory part (out of 100) and the practical part (out of 100).

3. In case of a tie in SGPA, the following order of preference shall be used to allot the rank (i.e. the student with
a higher grade in a higher priority subject shall be awarded the better rank). The priority-wise order is as
follows - Economics > Comp Sc > Analytics > Statistics > Mathematics.
