SBI PO Mock Test 3 Solutions

Solution 1: Let Principal = y, time = t years

Then interest = y/4, Rate = t%
Now using the SI formula, i.e. SI = [P x R x T]/ 100
y/4 = [y x t x t]/100
t2 = 25
t = 5%

Solution 2: 110% of SP = ₹616

SP ⇒[(616 x 100)/ 110] = 560
∴ CP ⇒ [(100/112) x 560] = 500

Solution3: let the number of students studying in schools A,B,C be 6x, 8x and 7x respectively.
Then the new strength of schools A, B, and C will be as such:
A = 120% of 6x = 36x/5
B = 115% of 8x = 46x/5
C = 120% of 7x = 42x/5
∴ required ratio will be = 36x/5, 46x/5, 42x/5
= 18 : 23 : 21

Solution 4: Rate of Discount = [(12/80) x 100]% = 15%

Solution 5 : let the marked price be x.

then , 7% of x - 5% of X = 15
i.e. 2% of x = 15
x = [(15 x 100) / 2] =750

Solution 6 : 20% of A = 50% of B

i.e. [20/100] x A = [50/100] x B
i.e. A/5 = B/2
i.e. B = 2A/5

Therefore, the required percentage = ([B/A] x 100)%

(2A/5 x 1/A x 100)% = 40%

Solution 7: let the number be 100 and required multiplier br y.

Then, 100y = 129.7 or y = 129.7/100 = 1.297

Solution 8: let the number be 3x, (3x+3), (3x+6)

Then, 3x + (3x + 3) + (3x + 6) = 72
9x = 63
x=7
Therefore, the largest number is (3 x 7 + 6) = 27.

Solution 9: Age of the instructor - (34 x 11 - 32 x 10) years

374 - 320 = 54 years.

Solution 17. Using the correct symbols, the expression comes like this-

8 x 7 − 8 + 40 ÷ 2
8 + 7 x 8 ÷ 40 −2
8 + 7/5 −2
=7⅖

Solution 18: Both A and R are true. Indian President is the constitutional head of the executive,
the real power being vested in the Council of Ministers.

Solution 19: During severe winters water in the pipes freeze to ice and expands, resulting in
bursting of pipes.

Solution 20: Rainfall in Tamil Nadu is caused by retreating Monsoons which occur in winter.

Hee- flower
