 MARKETING ASPECT

The University of Southern Mindanao (USM) has innovative

technologies to enhance student learning and research skills of its faculty and

staff. Communication between offices in USM is vital in its day-to-day

operation. The flow of communication is either upward or downward. The

messenger delivers the document to the colleges and offices and vice versa.

This study entitled “System for Document Authentication and

Verification Using QR Code” is a study to implement a system prototype for

document authentication and verification using QR (Quick Response) Code - a

two-dimensional barcode. The system ensured that the document is

legitimate, not tampered, and generated from anywhere.

The system generates a unique QR Code for each document added in

the system. This code is collected, stored and encrypted to the central server

which is a secured data storage. Only the system can read and validate the

code for verification. Using the built-in and simple search capability of the

database server, the system searches and finds the document code in the

database.

If the code found matches in any of the stored documents the server

responses to the QR code reader application indicating that the document is

valid and authenticated.

The application then can convey the message to the user by displaying

a successful message or notification. The user searches the QR code in the

system to authenticate and verify documents.

 This study generally aimed to design and develop a QR code system

that can be used for authenticity and verifying of documents information for the

University of Southern Mindanao. Specifically, this study aimed to develop a

module that could retrieve and display the QR code of the documents; develop

a system that could secure the entire document with QR code and evaluate

the functionality of the document authentication and verification system.

The system focuses on the authentication and verification of

documents that have been produced by the USM such as Transcript of

Record, Diploma and other documents. The system is subject for evaluation

among the selected offices in the University of Southern Mindanao, Kabacan,

Cotabato.
 MANAGEMENT ASPECT

System for Document Authentication and Verification using QR Code is

a partnership organization that is conceptualized by a group of friends which

are the proponents of the business. It is a partnership because proponents

planned and proposed to invest a capital in a business together and they will

both strive to run it by themselves. The capital of the business will be equally

divided by the owners. Each of them will share 10% of the needed fund to

implement the system.

In managing the business, the proponents will choose one of them to

be the manager of the operation. The proponents are both qualified to run a

business because they have a degree in the field of commerce but they will

choose and evaluate the best of them which possess all the characteristics of

an effective and efficient manager or leader. Though the proposed project is

small, the proponents will abide in the law of operating a business by

registering it legally to the local government. The business will pay the right

amount on time as they are socially accountable for it. System for Document

Authentication and Verification using QR Code. It will use the design of flat

structure as it contains small level of management only and to ensure the

satisfaction of the services rendered to the us

internet, after that go to website to validate code, the user verifier must have

Product Description

compatible system for their business that can help and improve their business

and more efficient in terms of transactions. Now a days it is important that

small entrepreneurs should realize the worth innovating and starting a

business that would largely contribute to the socio-economic development of

the country.

Income and employment

The main goal of the project is to help the small entrepreneurs have

high income especially in the part of the owner. The business should generate

relationship between the manager and employees to attain the main goal of

the business which is to have an income. Employees in the business need

income to support their own needs. Building up business is a great opportunity

for employed people to have jobs. It will also be their opportunity of having

another source of income.

Contribution to the government

The proposed project is expected to give a great contribution to the

government in the form of taxes. The tax payment from the business would

help the localities as well as the economy in its future project especially for

people that will benefit. This would help to the socio-economic of the country.
Contribution to the Society

The proposed project will be beneficial to everyone in the said location

because it will give job to those unemployed individuals in the community.

Also, it helps everyone to increased their productivity and efficiency.
