A. Preparatory Activities:
Prayer< Greetings < Checking of Attendance < Review of Previous Lesson
B. Development of the Lesson
1. Reviewing Previous Lesson
The teacher will ask the students about their previous lesson and she will let the student to perform
the fundamental dance steps in folk dance.
Guide Questions:
-What do you feel after performing the activity?
-What is the purpose of performing cheer/yells?
3. Presentation:
Historical Background

Cheerleading originated in the United States and started by all male participants in the early
1800`s. It all begun with the organized crowd of male students who yell chants, and cheers. Female
students were encourage to participate in cheerleading during 1920`s.
Guide Questions:
-When was the cheer dance started?
-Who were the first participants in cheer dance?
-How many years have passed before the female dancers were encouraged to
participate?
Students will be given 3 sets of pictures to describe. Each set will have jumbled letters.
Students will only form the word described by the picture and define.
The students will execute the proper hand movements and positions in cheer dance.
4. Generalization:
The teacher will play a video and the students will give their idea about the video being played.

-What can you say about the performance you have watched in t the
video?
-Have they applied all the elements of cheer dance?
-What will you do to be that flexible and confidence?
-Why exercise is important before performing cheer dance?
