Assignment Sample

The document analyzes fill level data from a random sample of 50 Coca-Cola bottles labeled as containing 200ml. It finds that the average fill level was 200.118ml with a standard deviation of 0.419ml. A 95% confidence interval for the mean indicates the true average fill level lies between 199.999ml and 200.237ml. Based on the data distribution and statistical analysis, the document concludes that Coca-Cola bottles are fairly filling the labeled 200ml volume.

SAMPLE

PROBLEM STATEMENT
Because of the variability of bottling machinery, it is likely that every 200-milliliter bottle of
Coca-Cola does not contain exactly 200 milliliters of fluid. Some bottles may contain more fluid
and others less.

OBJECTIVE
To determine how close the bottles are to the 200-milliliter specification.

DECISIONS
Following was observed from the data analysis:

 Median (200.150) >Mean (200.118) that indicated much more than 50% of the bottles
are more than 200 ml.
 Skewness – Negatively skewed hence it is good for customer as fewer bottles will have
less than 200.118ml
 From the histogram it is observed that vey less percentage of bottles are having below
199.6ml
 Confidence interval of 95% shows the lower limit of 199.999 which is almost close to
200ml

Hence from the above we can conclude that Coca Cola is fair in fills of 200ml bottles.
