About the role
The Risk Management Group is an independent, centralized unit responsible for assessing
and monitoring risks across Macquarie. This includes market and liquidity risk, credit risk,
compliance risk and operational risk. Risk Management Group personnel liaise closely with
all operating areas to ensure risks are understood and properly managed.
RMG Market Risk team forms part of the second line of defence in Macquarie’s risk
management framework. It is the independent function responsible for assessing, analyzing,
monitoring and managing firm’s risk that may arise due to change in market conditions.
This position is at a Senior Associate level within the Market division and candidate will be
a part of the Market Risk Central team.
Key responsibilities will include:
Timely completion of operational and system reviews to ensure integrity and
accuracy of market risk monitoring.
Running Market Risk management reports and performing a complete review and
analysis of the output.
Aggregation and compilation of regular reports used by both RMG Market Risk and
senior Business Stakeholders.
Performance of detailed user access reviews.
Improve and develop current reporting procedures, including identifying reporting
gaps, inefficiencies in processes & process maintenance
Identifying operational excellence opportunities and migrating our current processes
from MS Excel to Power BI and Alteryx
Ensuring process and procedure documentation is up to date
The completion of ad hoc requests for RMG Market Risk Stakeholders
We want to hear from you if you have:
Minimum Bachelor's degree qualification with strong academic performance. Tertiary
financial qualification will be an added advantage.
Minimum 1-4 years of post-graduation experience with reporting and data analysis
responsibilities.
Previous experience in the Financial Services is preferred; background in
Operations, budgeting or Business reporting
Eye for detail in completing operational and system data updates to ensure data
integrity and accuracy
The ability to detect and resolve underlying problems as well as to drive process
improvements. Knowledge of tools like Power BI and Alteryx will be preferred
Good organisation skills with the ability to work towards and meet deadlines
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Willingness to work in different time zones to support clients
Ability to work well in a team and with stakeholders
