Study of concept of Embodied Energy & developed the methodology to calculate embodied
energy and its application in case studies was done. Analysis of data was done, giving
inferences & conclusions were drawn
Concept of Neighborhood planning & Precast construction technology was studied. Case
studies of sites of M/s B.G. Shirke & Associates. By using Navi Mumbai Byelaws the Design
was developed.

1. IGBC Students Chapter In charge & Launch of IGBC students Chapter at PIADS:
Indian Green Building Council has launched 3 students chapter in Nagpur on 10th March
2017. One of them is at PIADS. Awareness was spread among students and teachers
about IGBC. Coordination on behalf of PIADS with IGBC was done and this launch was
made possible. Now heads Students chapter of IGBC at PIADS. Coordination of all
activities under this chapter is done. Activities like Tree plantation, Making Students
Body, Making Students members, Maintaining records, Guidance for IGBC AP exam
Each tour is a unique chance to explore and study Architectural styles of different topography,
climate & culture and its impact of Architecture. As a tour coordinator job responsibilities include
identifying focus area of study. Making itenary, working out costing. Taking quotes, finalizing
Tour Operator. Making students work on site and preparing tour documentation finalizing study
sheets.
1. Hyderabad (27th to 31st Jan 2015): This was first year tour. For First years to
understand assignments related to basic design principals, sketching & rendering,
circulation of spaces & defense techniques used in forts were taken up.
2. Rajasthan: (30th Aug to 6th Sep 2015):This was Vertical integration tour of 2nd, 3rd &
4th year. Focus of study here was to study historical structures in Rajputana Style. This
tour won Second Prize in Tour Documentation competition at PIADS
3. Bhopal: (18th to 23rd Feb 2016): This was First year tour with some of Second year
students with Vernacular as elective. With focus on study of Vernacular styles of
architecture. Students were taken to the Indira Gandhi Rashtriya Manav Sangrahalaya,
where group of students were allotted a structure to document.
4. Joint Studio with LTJSS, Mumbai: (7th to 15th Jan 2017): This was for 6th sem. It was
joint studio organized among two colleges, LTJSS, Mumbai & PIADS, Nagpur. Groups
were made having both college students. Design problem was house @ BOX of 15
sq.m. Students submitted thermacol models for same.
5. Gwalior: (23rd to 26th Jan 2017): This was 6th Sem design tour for studying Bateshwar
Group of temple at Morena, Gwalior. Students here learned decoding of spaces and did
documentation in form of pictures, sketches and A-CAD measured drawings
6. Village Documentation: 14th to 16th Aug 2017): This was 3rd sem tour, here students
did Village Mapping, Socioeconomic surveys and Detailing of Some identified Building
samples and understanding of fabric of Village, Construction techniques, settlement
patterns, Culture, Food, Amenities.
7. IGBC Congress at Jaipur: 4th to 8th Oct 2017: Took students to attend conference and
looked after their arrangements.
