There are three ways to export data from a MOP: 1. Export HCU Events by selecting "Troubleshooting" then "HCU Events", pressing "Log Manually", selecting cylinders, and exporting to a USB. 2. Export a SPAF file by either pressing the "Export SPAF" button (newer versions) or performing a manual system backup to a USB. 3. How to export HCU Events

There is two ways to make a HCU Event. Either it is logged automatically triggered
by an alarm or you can log it manually on MOP-B, which is the only MOP where HCU
Events is accessible.
To find the HCU Events, use MOP-B and select “Troubleshooting” followed by “HCU
Events”.

All unit hydraulic system events should be recorded by log manually button.
To log HCU Events manually follow the next two steps:

1. Press the “Log Manually” button


2. Press to select one or more cylinders to log manually. After short time the log will appear
in the list to the left.
To export the HCU Events to a USB, first insert an empty USB into the MOP. Then:
1. Select the HCU Event which is to be exported.
2. Press export
3. Press save
2. How to Export a SPAF file from MOP
There is two different ways to export the SPAF file. The procedure which needs to be followed
depends on the current ECS version on the MOP, where the newest version includes an “Export
SPAF” button, older ECS versions do not have this button and the manually procedure of taking a
SPAF should be followed.

2.1 Export SPAF with “Export button”


If the ECS version has an “Export SPAF” button, do as follows:
1. On the MOP, select the „Admin->Version“ tap.
2. Insert a USB flash drive into the MOP. Press the „Export SPAF“ button and after that “Save”.
3. The SPAF file is now saved on the USB flash drive (it may take some minutes to save).
2.2 Export SPAF manually

If the MOP version does not have “Export SPAF” button is not present, please use this guide:
1. Insert empty USB‐pen‐drive into MOP.
2. On MOP keyboard, press Ctrl + Esc simultaneously and choose ’MPC‐Archive’ from menu

3. In ‘MPC Archive’, now open, choose tab ‘Archive’ and choose ‘Archive System’
4. In pop‐up menu, navigate to USB pen drive destination by clicking My Computer and then double
click USB destination
5. Choose make new folder, and name with ships name and engine number
6. Enter proper filename, eg. Shipname_Date_Enginenumber, then press Save.
Now system is backing‐ up to USB drive, this will take a while:
When back up is finished, below picture will be seen:
7. On MOP keyboard, press Ctrl + Esc simultaneously again, and choose ‘MOPLock’ from menu
8. Choose ‘Unlock’ from small pop‐up window
9. In ‘systray’ in lower right corner of window, right‐click USB icon and safely remove USB pen drive.

10. From small pop‐up window from step 8, choose ‘Lock’ and then finally ‘Hide’.

ECS parameters are now backed up, and can be sent to back for review.

3. How to export Event Log from MOP

The event log can be used for viewing the history of events (alarms) and if exported it is a
useful tool for remote troubleshooting.
The Event Log can be found on either of the MOP’s choosing Alarms → Event Log.
To export the Event Log you will first have to choose which events you want to export. If you
want to export all Events in the log please continue to step 4 without using a filter.

1. Press “Time Span Filter”


2. Select the time span for which you want to see and export the events
3. Press “Apply”
