Grouping

Loaders 773 700s

Loaders S550 S-Models

Excavators 331 300s

Excavators E55 E-Models

OPC Main Toolbar

The OPC Main Toolbar consists of three key functions:

1. Select a Product
2. Search
3. Settings

By using these functions, a user is able to more efficiently navigate through

the various parts catalogs without having to click through the Table of
Contents. Each function is explained in detail below.
OPC Main Toolbar – Select a Product

1. Select a Product
The “Select a Product” field allows the user to enter a machine serial number or to
select a specific model number to navigate to it. Click the down arrow to
choose between serial number entry or model number entry. Both functions are
available for use from anywhere in the system to navigate directly to the entered
serial number or the selected model number
OPC Main Toolbar – Select a product – Serial Number

Serial Number - When a Serial Number is entered OPC will navigate the user to the
correct parts catalog for the entered serial number. Serial Number entry requires a full serial
number be entered and will not allow a partial serial number entry. Please note that serial
number entry is only valid for machine carriers and not for attachments. Use the “Model
Number” selection to navigate to a specific Attachment product.
Example of search for Serial Number - B3CA11679

Enter Serial Number & Press Enter

OPC Main Toolbar – Select a product – Serial Number

The user will be directed to the catalog containing the parts information for the desired
Serial Number. At this point the user can start searching the catalog for the desired
information. All illustrations contained in this catalog are displayed in order on the right.

Note: The Serial Number selection will bring you to the correct parts catalog for the
serial number entered. The catalog still may contain serial number break information
throughout the catalog at both the illustration and the reference level. Please review
this information closely.
OPC Main Toolbar – Select a product – Model Number

Model Number - The “Model Number” field offers a complete list of all models
included in the system. The list can be navigated by either typing the desired model
number or by scrolling through the list to locate the desired model. Attachments are
listed at the bottom of the list as the Attachment product type and not by the actual
Attachment model number.
Example of Model Number entry- Snowblower

Click the “Select Model.. “ to open the

list of products

Type in “Snowblower” for this entry to be

selected from the list.
OPC Main Toolbar – Select a product – Model Number

Press Enter and the system will navigate to the

“Snowblower” attachment.

At this point a carrier type can

be selected to start
navigation or a search can be
performed to locate the
desired information.
OPC Main Toolbar – Search

2. Search
The search field allows the ability to perform various types of search functions
within the OPC application. The search field will perform a wildcard search by
default. There are three search functions (All, Model Used On and Document
Search) that are available from anywhere in the application. In addition, as a user
navigates to lower levels in the Table of Contents additional search functions are
offered at the family level, model level and the serial number (Catalog) level. Click
the icon in the search field to select the specific level to search

Note: for best performance and to minimize the number of results it is best to
navigate to the lowest level possible before searching. This can be done by
using the “Select a Product” field by entering a serial number or choosing the
desired model.
OPC Main Toolbar – Search Functions

As mentioned above, the search field will have different functions available
depending on where the user is currently at in the application. Here are a
couple of examples:
