1. Open your book on page 147 of your Student’s Book, GRAMMAR BANK: gerunds(-ing) and
infinitives (to+verb)
2. Read the blue section and analyse the following images

3. Answer exercises a and b, focus in the directions, when you have to use gerund or
infinitive, check the verb before, for example:
-She wants ------TO+verb in simple form, because after the verb “want” always is TO.
I’m so good at -----+verb+ ING, cause after prepositions always is GERUND

***You have to study the verbs that appears in your book, and you how to know applied
with infinitive o gerund.

***There are some verbs in which their meaning changes depending on whether you use
gerund or infinitive, study these:
o Try + to + verb = make an effort Try to eat healthy – Estoy intentando,
haciendo un esfuerzo por comer sano.
o Try + verb+ing= You’re seeing if you like it or not Try studying French
-Estoy probando tomar clases de francés
o Remember + to+verb= Don’t forget to do something- Remember to do your
homework – No lo olvides
o Remember + ing= I have a memory of it- I remember taking classes with her -
Me acuerdo de algo que me pasó.
