IS 7181 : 1986 HORIZONTALLY CAST IRON DOUBLE
FLANGED PIPES FOR WATER, GAS AND SEWAGE
(First Revision)

(Page 4, clause 3.4) — Insert the following new clause:

‘3.5 Puddle flanges may be integrally casted on the body of the pipes at any
distance from end flanges as per requirement. The outside diameter of the
puddle flange should be equal to the end flanges. The puddle flanges are
normally parallel to the end flanges. They may also be inclined at any given
angle as per requirement. However the outside diameter of the angular puddle
may be more than the end flanges. The thickness of the puddle flanges should be
as follows:
