1. GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The UniScroll2 is a universal
scrolling display for the

is capable of handling up to
32 floors with the possibility
of editing and modifying the
display contents for each
floor. The display consists of
three dot matrix characters
(5 columns x 7 rows each).
Two push buttons are
provided to access the
display contents of each floor
as well as modify the
scrolling direction and
operating mode.

1.1 TECHNICAL DATA

2. FUNCTION DESCRIPTION
The content of the memory corresponding to the floor set by the gray code inputs is displayed (GF, B1, M, 1 ....).
Every change on the floor information inputs triggers the scrolling of the display to reflect the content of the newly
selected floor. The scrolling direction depends on the elevator direction and on the SDi setting.

2.1 MENU DESCRIPTION

2.2 HOW TO ACCESS AND USE THE MENU


The memory content of each floor along with the scrolling direction can be modified by following the steps below:
1. Make sure that the display is powered; it should show the memory content of the currently selected station.
2. Press the Next/Inc push button once. The display will show the first floor number for which the memory

content can be modified. So “FLX“ is shown which represents the X station.
3. Use the Next/Inc push button to scroll to the desired floor.
4. Press the Select/Ok push button. The display shows the memory content of this floor with the leftmost part
blinking
5. Use the Next/Inc push button to scroll to the desired leftmost digit or character (0…9, blank, -, B, S, G, E,
F, M, L).
6. Press the Select/Ok to save the leftmost part content. The rightmost part starts blinking.
7. Use the Next/Inc push button to scroll to the desired rightmost digit or character (0…9, blank, -, B, S, G, E,
F, M, L).
8. Press the Select/Ok to save the rightmost part content. The floor number is displayed again.

2.3 ENHANCED FEATURES


1. Arrow scrolls when lift is moving. Arrow remains stationary when lift stops on a floor.
2. Three messages are displayed:
a) Maintenance: When elevator is in Maintenance.
b) Wait: When elevator is performing a homing trip.
c) Out of service: When the elevator has a problem.

3. INSTALLATION & MOUNTING
3.1 INSTALLATION
Connect terminals P and GND to +VBAT and –VBAT of the power supply respectively.
Connect terminals A, B, C, D and E of the uniscroll board directly to A, B, C, D and E of the controller board.
Connect terminals UP and DOWN of the uniscroll board directly to UP and DOWN arrow of the controller
board.

3.2 MOUNTING
• Mounting plate thickness: 0.8mm to 5mm.
• Cutout in mounting plate: 54mmx43mm.
• No need for welded studs (screws).
