What would be the impact or a major effect of the pandemic COVID19 to the Nursing
Profession, Government, and to the Community.
To the Nursing profession: As the coronavirus threatens health and upends daily life
throughout the world, This pandemic will have major impacts on all aspects of nursing — from
students wishing to enter the profession, students already in coursework striving to become
nurses and those that teach them, most assuredly practicing nurses and even retired nurses.
The major impact for me that I see and hear fellow nurses describing is the way that they are
delivering care. Nurses possess unique skills that allow for the delivery of very specialized
technical skills that are ground in the human act of caring. In short, nurses humanize health
care. The unique challenge that most nurses will face is how they can continue to deliver care
from behind our personal protective equipment (PPE). A major role of a nurse is to advocate for
patient safety. Even under these stressful and confusing times, nurses will continue to go above
and beyond to center care around the patient and their best interest.
To the Government: government purchases will increase as governments, which typically can
afford to run budget deficits, utilize fiscal stimulus measures to counteract the fall in consumer
spending. However, for governments that are commodity dependent, the fall in the global
demand for commodities stemming from the pandemic will significantly increase their fiscal
deficits.
To the Community: Building trust and awareness
If you have recently discussed the spread of COVID-19 with a forcibly displaced person or with
someone living in an area hobbled by conflict, you might have come across a relatively stoic,
detached answer; “It is God’s will” and “we have bigger issues here” are some of the most
typical. So the major affect in the community id lack of everyday foods, yes we know that there
are some barangay’s thst giving food or we could say ‘Rasyon” but its not enough for one
family, I have seen something on social media one family that who don’t have income everyday
and have no extra foods stocks in their house. And I’m happy seeing other people doing their
best to help others who needs more. And you can see the unity of one another through helping,
I just saw a guy who’s willing to buy everything like foods, medicine, water for his fellow
barangay.
