This section of the competition consists of 30 problems. You will have 40 minutes to com-
plete all the problems. You are not allowed to use calculators, books or other aids during
this round. Calculations may be done on scratch paper. All answers must be complete
and simplified to lowest terms. Record only final answers in the blanks in the left-hand
column of the competition booklet, and input these answers into the submission form (link
in the OP of our thread). If you complete the problems before time is called, use the re-
maining time to check your answers. We are relying on you to be completely honest
and follow the ”Honor Pledge” MATHCOUNTS requires every Mathlete to sign.

Problem Writers’ Note: Units are not required in answer submissions.


Tie Breaking Criteria: Will decide later based on the number of ties.

Scoring: Scores will be posted on AoPS as soon as all the papers are graded. Please PM one
of the problem writers if you would not like your score to be posted (You will not be eligible
for prizes then).
