1 Phrasal verbs
Study the following phrasal verbs and complete the questions below. In pairs, ask and answer the
questions.

bring sb up = to care for a child until it is an adult


grow up = to gradually become an adult
be into sth = to be interested and involved with something
get on with sb = to have a good relationship with somebody
take sth up = to start to do/practise something (a new hobby or activity)
go into (sth) = to start becoming involved in a particular type of work

4 Interests and activities
