Exp 3

This experiment used MATLAB Simulink to simulate a classical model of a synchronous generator connected to an infinite bus system. Different simulations were run by varying the generator's synchronizing and damping coefficients (Ks and Kd) to analyze their impact on the system. The results demonstrate how changes to these coefficients affect the generator's ability to remain synchronized with the bus.

AIM: Simulation of the classical model of synchronous generator in single machine infinite bus
system (SMIB).

SOFTWARE: MATLAB Simulink

EQUATION FORMULATION:

The matrix formulation from the given equations can be written as:

In block diagram form the classical model as represented as:

SIMULATION RESULTS:

1) Ks = 1, Kd = 1

2) Ks = 0.5, Kd = 1

3) Ks =1 , Kd = 0.5
4) Ks = -0.5, Kd = 1

5) Ks = 1, Kd = -0.5
