Common Approval For Temporary Limit Extension of Customer of Different Branches Under BBD
Subject: Proposal for allowing Credit Administration Division to extend validity of expired/about
to expire Overdraft/Cash Credit (Hypothecation) loans of different clients of different
branches up to 30.06.2020 on temporary basis validity of which was not extended due to
declaration of General Holiday by the Government for outbreak of Covid-19 pandemic.
This has reference to video conference held on 20.04.2020 amongst the Higher Management, CXO,
Divisional Heads and others.
The honorable Managing Director of the Bank through that video conference has instructed Credit
Administration Division to place a proposal for temporary extension of validity of expired/about to expire
loans of respective branch/cluster up to 30.06.2020.
Branch Business Division forwarded the following lists of expired/ about to expire Overdraft/Cash Credit
(Hypothecation) loans of different clients of different branches on 20.04.2020 with request for temporary
extension of validity of these loans up to 30.06.2020:

Sanction Status
a. Proposal of extension of validity ofsome of the loans are pending with CRM for submission to
Credit Committee;
b. Proposal for extension of validity of some of theloanshas been has approved but Sanction
advice hasn’t been issued;
c. Pending with CAD due to lapses in documentation/expiry of insurance/expiry of deferral
period allowed for different documentation;
d. Validity extension proposal of some loans are pending at BBD or branch yet to send requestto
BBD for processing of renewal proposal.
As per approved Guidelines related to Loan Documentation and disbursement for corporate clients
nature of lapses (in Documentation) wise exception delegation is given below:
Personal Guarantee not obtained CAD ( if, at least PG of the last year are
obtained)
Charge yet to be created/yet to be modified with RJSC CRO, as per Clause # 08
Deferral period for allowed for different issues expired but not MD & CEO (case to case but not exceeding
extended 03 months, then to be placed before
EC/Board)
In view of the above, considering prevailing situation of lockdown, for smooth functioning of the business
of clients, if agreed, Credit Administration Division may allow to extend validity of expired/about to expire
Overdraft/Cash Credit (Hypothecation) loans of different clients of different branches up to 30.06.2020 on
temporary basis, validity of which was not extended due to declaration of General Holiday by the
Government for outbreak of Covid-19 pandemic with the following special conditions:
i. Steps to be taken for obtaining approval of the Competent Authority for unapproved credit
facilities at the earliest.
ii. Post facto approval to be obtained at the earliest from the EC/Board for allowing extension
of validity without valid insurance /adequate insurance.
iii. Branch Manager shall ensure submission of valid insurance at the earliest on best effort
basis
iv. Branch Manager shall ensure completion of documentation formalities as per renewal
sanction at the earliest.
v. Branch Manager to purpose the client to adjust the EOL at the earliest on best effort basis.
