‘To keep Covid Free Rural India is a challenging task in which PANCHAYATI RAJ INSTITUTIONS in Jammu
and Kashmir as well as in Ladakh Union Territories have to play a definite role like other PRIs in India’,
said Mr. Jugal Kishore Gupta - Member Executive Committee All India Panchayat Parishad (AIPP) Delhi

AIPP to approach, by all means and methods available to them, urgently the needy and suffering to
provide them the needed help and succor.
Dr. Kuldeep Sharma- President AIPP, Jammu & Kashmir Union Territory and Vice President, National

Government of India, has exhorted upon all the Panchayti Raj Institutions–their elected representatives,
all associates of Panchayati Raj System to come forward and work shoulder to shoulder with the Govt.
machinery to ensure Covid Free Rural India.
There is an urgent need to help the administration in the distribution of Immune Boosting Medicines,
create awareness, provide masks, food and other needs of life as well as in Tracing, Testing and
quarantine the positive cases. The problems of needy and suffering, including their basic needs of life
have to be solved on top priority. Scientific environment, self- control and regular habits to take all the
preventive and precautionary steps are necessary. The Koteranka –Budhal Block Development Council
(Rajouri) under the Chairmanship of Javed Choudhary have taken the lead to keep their areas free from
Covid 19. The example needs to be followed.
