I want to setup a credit card payment system for my EYH conference - what do I do?
We are glad that you are interested in setting up a credit card payment system for your
EYH conference. Due to the large number of EYH conferences, the national office cannot
individually set up credit card accounts for each EYH conference site. However, we’ve created
this “how to” document to help you learn how to set up your own credit card payment
system. You should start by carefully reading through the directions.
NOTE: You should not use your personal Google Account for this process. It is better to
create a new Google Account for your Expanding Your Horizons Conference site.
The Merchant Center has four important tabs at the top of each page: Orders, Payouts, Tools
and Settings. In addition, at the top right of each page you will find a link to Help and Sign
Out, as well as your Merchant ID Number.
NOTE: Your Merchant ID from should be a 15-digit number. For the rest of this tutorial, we’ll
refer to that number as XXXXXXXXXXXXXXX. Whenever you see XXXXXXXXXXXXXXX in this
tutorial, replace it with your actual Merchant ID number.
NOTE: At this point we are assuming that you already have a web site for your EYH
Conference. We will now explain how to setup the registration form for that web site. If you
work with a web designer to maintain your web site, you may want to consult him or her at
this point.
1. Open up the HTML for the page that will contain the registration form
Using the web page editor of your choice, open up the HTML for the web page you’d like to
place the registration form on. (Or, create a new page at this time.)
</form>

Reviewing orders
To review the orders you have received so far, go to http://checkout.google.com/sell/ and
sign in with your Google account information. In the Google Checkout Merchant Center, click
on the “Orders” tab to see your current and pending orders (this area is known as your Orders
Inbox).
Collecting payment
Before a person’s credit card will be charged for a given order, you will need to click “Charge”
beside that order in your inbox. When you charge an order, you’ll also initiate the payout
process.
NOTE: Each time you charge a buyer, you’ll be charged a low 2.0% and $0.20 transaction fee
by Google Checkout.
