For Students:

Installation and Registration of zoom.us


Enter web address “https://www.zoom.us/” on any browser

Press “Resources” on top right corner of web page

Select “Download Zoom Client”

Press Download Button under “Zoom Client for Meetings”

ZoomInstaller.exe will be installed to your machine

Run “ZoomInstaller.exe”

Zoom software will get installed in your machine

Open Zoom software and press “Sign In”

In next Pop Up window, press “Sign Up Free” at lower right corner

Give your email address (any email address including gmail etc.)

An activation email will be sent to your email address – Press “Activate Account” in this email

Enter required details (Name and desired Zoom password)

Next page will ask “Invite Your Colleagues” (You can skip this step by pressing “Skip this step”)

Close this webpage (Your Zoom registration is complete and now you can use this software anytime)

Join the Class


Your concerned teacher will send you meeting invitation (through email or WhatsApp) containing
Meeting ID and password (e.g. Meeting ID: 250 427 588 - Password: 163957)

Open Zoom Software which is installed in your machine

Now sign in by using your email address and your Zoom password

Press “Join” button and enter the Meeting ID and Password provided by your teacher

You will then be connected with your teacher for interactive teaching session

You are requested to check the options of “Do not connect to audio” and “Turn off my video” for
smooth functioning of class

If you have any question during the session, you can press “Raise Hand” option at bottom right corner of
your screen. It will indicate the teacher that you have a query and he/she can turn on your audio/video
for interaction.

(zoom.us can be used on Laptops, Desktops, Tabs or Smart Phones)
