AC BJT Analysis Lecture 7

The document summarizes key concepts from lectures on AC BJT analysis: 1. Current mirrors are dc networks that control the current through a load based on a controlling current. If the controlling current increases or decreases, the load current will change to the same level. 2. Current source circuits use transistors configured as current mirrors to provide a constant current I that is independent of voltage variations. 3. The h-parameters model describes the small-signal behavior of BJTs and allows their use in AC signal circuits. It models inputs like base current and outputs like collector current.

2. CURRENT MIRRORS
The current mirror is
1. a dc network in which the current through a load is controlled by a current at
another point in the network.
2. if the controlling current is raised or lowered the current through the load will
change to the same level.
If Q1 and Q2 are identical then
VBE1=VBE2 and IB1=IB2
