GUIDELINES FOR STA116 GROUP PROJECT

INSTRUCTIONS:

1. GROUP
§ Students are required to perform a group with 4 -5 members. The number of
members per group depending on the of students in the class and the number
of class).

2. SOURCE OF DATA
§ Students are allowed to use primary data/secondary data. There is no restricted
on the number of sample size.

3. COVER PAGE
§ Cover page should be included UiTM logo, report title, student group and
photo.

1.0 INTRODUCTION
1.1 Background of Study (not more than 1 page)
Background of study should include a review of the area being
study/research/interest, CURRENT information surrounding the issue,
previous studies on the issue (if any), and relevant history on the issue.

1.2 Objectives of Study (5 objectives)


You are required to determine five objectives of the study.

2.0 METHODOLOGY

2.2 Method of Analysis


This section related to the objective of the study that you have stated
in 1.2. For instance, if the objective of the study is “ to describe the
demographic profile of the respondents”, you may use
descriptive statistics including bar graph, pie chart or any graphical
presentation that appropriate towards on the demographic variable
involve in your study.

1. You are to conduct a research on CS110 part 4 students.

2. Choose a research topic (E.g.: Handphone usage among CS110 part 4 students,
Mobile phone game addiction among CS110 part 4 students, Reading habit among
CS110 part 4 students).

3. Determine your research objectives and list them all down. (5 objectives)

4. Design a questionnaire (for primary data)


• Your questionnaire must be simple yet useful for your study.
• It must contain enough information for you to do a very good analysis.
• The questions in the questionnaire must correspond with your research
objectives.
(5 objectives = 5 questions).
• Make sure you have both qualitative and quantitative variables in your study.

5. Select a sample for your study by using an appropriate sampling technique.


Distribute the questionnaire to your selected sample.

6. Do a statistical analysis on the questionnaire that you recollect.

7. Write a project report.

8. Prepare for a presentation.
