Project Title: Literature Review Report

This literature review report summarizes existing research on the strength properties of lateritic soil for highway construction. The report includes an abstract, introduction, literature survey, objectives, and proposed methodology. The literature survey analyzes 8-10 recent articles on lateritic soil strength properties. One study addressed found that higher moisture content at compaction gives lower strength and higher excess pore pressure. The objectives aim to address gaps like improving accuracy and expanding to other soil types. The proposed methodology will discuss conducting further research to meet the objectives.

PROJECT TITLE:
LITERATURE REVIEW REPORT

I. Abstract (not more than TEN lines)

{This section will let the reader understand the summary of your project. About 250 words}

II. Introduction
{Here you will introduce the concept and background of your project. Around 1 page.}

III. Literatures Survey (two – three pages)

(Here you will present the detailed literature review highlighting merits and limitations of
existing method. 8-10 latest articles from reputed journals must be referred and review should
be arranged in the following order)

1. Sathish Chandra, Arshud Masud, “Triaxial and stabilometer properties on a

lateritic soil”, : 978-1-4673-5952-8/, IEEE, 2014

Author has addressed the strength properties of the compacted lateritic soil for highway
construction and correlated the results of two commonly adopted testing methods, viz., the
triaxial compression tests, Based on the test results following conclusions were made for
constant dry density ,higher moisture content at compaction gives lower strength higher excess
pore pressure and the strength parameters in terms of total stress obtained from triaxial tests
and those estimated from the application of the carmany formulae to the stabilometer test
results are in the same order of magnitude but not in close alignment. Below table can be used
to highlight the literature survey work in presentation as well as report.
