WHAT WOULD YOU DO TO GET
MAXIMUM OUT OF THIS MBA
MBA is a highly valued degree designed to develope the skills required for careeres in business and management. Attaining an MBA allows you to learn how to successfully manage, lead, organize and adapt in a variety of business environments. An MBA is a huge investment. We want to get as much as possible out of this course. It is not as same as how we did an undergraduation course. It requires different set of skills and preparations. Some of the requirements to get maximum out of this MBA are:- 1.Work Hard: We all know that business schools are expensive, so make it count by utilising the most of it by working hard so that you get the best out of it. 2.Remember your attributes as a student: Your classmates will seem to be phenomenally accomplished, and perhaps even intimidating. Don’t forget that you, too, were accepted into the classroom for a reason. The school believes that you have a great deal to contribute, so make sure that you do. 3.Don’t put too much weight on grades: Your grades really dont count that much. Even if your school has a grading system, no one is going to ask about them after you graduate. So go to class to learn, but don’t study so much that you miss out on the rest of the experience. 4.Think about our career: it’s easy to get swept away by the MBA experience, but remember what we are there for to advance our career. Make time to research our course options early on and ensure they will help in pursuit of our goals. Speak to the careers department often and attend recruitment events to meet with potential employers. 5.Start growing our network: A big part of MBA course is the non academic side of things. Networking and making contacts is a mjaor reason for attending business school, so make the most of the oppurtunity. Introduce yourself to everyone you can, and spend time getting to know your classmates and professors. Particularly seek out those with different backgrounds to your own. This is one of the best chances you will have in your life to meet such a diverse range of people. 6.Practice your interview skills: Informational interviews offer you the chance to get a feel for the kind of interviews that you will be dealing with after graduation. They also provide the opputunity to explore different companies and introduce yourself to recruitment staff. Many MBA courses include classes which include informational interviews.
Therefore in order to fully utilize these 2 years of MBA effectively I would
approach with a positive and a growth mindset and would drive to gain as many skills as possible out of MBA.
