    1 Purpose
    The preventive maintenance procedures listed below provide an easy means
    of determining the operational status of the coal crusher. The preventive
    maintenance procedures result in identification of possible trouble areas so
    the condition will not deteriorate to the point where a failure is likely to
    occur.

    2 Scope
    This procedure applicable for both the coal crushers.

    3 Responsibility
    Maintenance Engineer: Apply, receive and clear the permits.
    Area Operator/SCE: Issue of permit.
    Maintenance Execute the job safely and efficiently as per the
    Technician: Standard Maintenance Procedure and fill the
    protocols.

    4 References
    The information from standard Maintenance manual supplied by OEM.

    5 Tools
     Necessary tool kit.
     Grease guns.
     Temperature gauge.
     Vibro meter
     portable grinding machine
     Cutting tools
     Welding Machine.
     Chain blocks.

    6 Procedures
    Following Procedure to be followed during the maintenance of Belt
    conveyors.

    Monthly Maintenance List

     Surface cleaning of the drive unit. Use brush and compressor air for
    cleaning.
     Check the condition of the hammers.
     Check the beater bar fixtures on either sides.
     Check for correct V-belt tension; re-stress if necessary.
     Check for assessment of general condition of fixture.

    7 Records and Report


     Record the information of work activity in the history.
