Research Application in Business Assignment: One Way Anova

This document presents an analysis of student grade point averages (GPAs) across four sections (A, B, C, D) using a one-way ANOVA test. The ANOVA test results show that the significance value is 0.234, which is greater than 0.05, so the null hypothesis that the mean GPAs are equal across all sections is accepted. Descriptive statistics also show that the mean GPA for each section falls within the 95% confidence interval range for the overall mean GPA. The Levene's test results further support that variances are equal across sections, validating the use of one-way ANOVA for this analysis.

ONE WAY ANOVA

Null Hypothesis: Mean of all sections are equal

Here;
In Section A there are 15 students
In Section B there are 15 students
In Section C there are 14 students
In Section D there are 16 students

Based on trimmed mean .431 3 56 .732

In Levene test;
Section A (sig p value) = .748 > 0.05
Section B (sig p value) = .771> 0.05
Section C (sig p value) = .772> 0.05
Section D (sig p value) = .732> 0.0
This implies, All the significance (p value) of all four sections are greater than 0.05 therefore
we will accept the null hypothesis.

Between Groups 5.448 3 1.816 1.463 .234
Within Groups 69.510 56 1.241
Total 74.958 59

In Anova table we will check F value first;

F = 1.463 > 1
Here F is greater than so we will go further and will check significance (p value)
P = .234 > 0.05
Now, we can see p value is greater than 0.05 so we will accept the Null hypothesis that is all
mean are equal.
