In the folder called Practice Images you will find reduced resolution jpegs of the photos I use in the
videos. The images are reduced in resolution to keep the download size manageable and to help protect
my work from unlicensed distribution. While not quite the same as working on the original image files,
they should be adequate for practice. These images are protected by my copyright. I hope you find
them valuable for practice purposes. My sincere thanks for not transferring, sharing or otherwise
distributing them.
The video chapters are encoded in the mpeg4 video format, a format that is compatible with just about
any computer platform and digital media player. They should play using common media players such
as Windows Media Player or Quicktime. If for some reason you have difficulty playing the videos on
your computer try using VLC Player. VLC Player will play any media type and there are versions for
both PCs and Macs. You can download VLC Player for free at http://www.videolan.org.
The videos seem to look best in Windows Media Player. If you play the videos with Quicktime, VLC
Player or another player you may want to adjust color, brightness and contrast in the player's controls.
In most players you can choose to play the video segments one at a time, or you can view the entire set
of videos or selected groups of videos all at once. This can be done by selecting all the video files in the
folder, right clicking and selecting “Play”, or creating a playlist in your player. Check the help menu of
your video player to find out how to play multiple videos or create playlists.
