1.2 Problem Statement: (CITATION Wij11 /L 1033)

The document discusses that CSR is not well understood in Pakistan, with few studies conducted on the relationship between CSR and organizational performance. CSR is a relatively new concept in Pakistan, recognized mainly by multinational companies that have formal CSR strategies. Many Pakistani organizations focus on profits without realizing CSR activities are necessary for success. Large multinational firms implement CSR like employee welfare more than local Pakistani companies due to lack of CSR knowledge. Both listed and unlisted Pakistani firms prioritize profits over employee satisfaction due to CSR information deficiencies, which could create problems. Previous research on how CSR impacts organizational performance factors like employee job satisfaction and commitment in Pakistan is limited, representing a gap this study aims to address.

2 Problem Statement

The Idea and knowledge about CSR is not well explored in Pakistan. However there are only few

studies and researches carried out on CSR and organizational performance. The issue of CSR has

not however been known and explored within the developing countries especially in Pakistan

[ CITATION Wij11 \l 1033 ]. In today’s world the main aim of most of the organizations is to

enhance the profit.

The concept of CSR is few years old in Pakistan and not too much recognized by the

organizations because there are only few companies in Pakistan having their on CSR strategies

and policies and most of them are multinational companies.

There are many organizations in Pakistan which are trying to earn more and more profit and

reputation in the corporate world but they do not know that they cannot get success without the

implementation of CSR activities.

Many big and multinational companies work a lot on their CSR activities, they make dust free

environment for their employees, and they take their employees in hard times that are why their

employees are more productive as compare to the local companies of Pakistan because they do

not know what actually CSR is?

The unlisted as well the listed companies of Pakistan are busy in earning profits, whether their

employees are satisfy or not it doesn’t matter for them due to lack of information regarding CSR

and this thing will create big problem for the organizations in Pakistan.

1.3 Research Gap

organizational performance and the factors which influences the performance of the organization

such as employee satisfaction towards their job, commitment, culture of the organization etc”
especially in Pakistan which is consider the huge Gap and this research helps to reduce that gap

in Pakistan.
