Steganography

Steganography is data hidden within data. Steganography is an encryption technique that


can be used along with cryptography as an extra-secure method in which to protect data. ...
At any rate, steganography protects from pirating copyrighted materials as well as aiding in
unauthorized viewing.
It is used for digital audio formats such as WAVE, MIDI, and AVI MPEG for steganography.
The methods are LSB coding, echo hiding, parity coding etc [4]. 2.5 Video Steganography:
It is a technique to hide any type of files or information into digital video format.

1. Xiao Steganography

Click Add image files

The tool offers RC2, RC$, DES, Triple DES, Triple DES 12 encryption along with a few
hashing options. Triple DES can be used to provide a stronger encryption along with
MD5 hash. The file can be password protected and all these combined provides a
strong steganography as well as crypto options.

Load selective image file by Load Target file button.


Add Text file by click Add File button

Need to select Encryption method from list and password for protection….
Process complete by click finish.

To Decrypt the image file click the extract file


Select the earlier Encrypted image by clicking Load Source file button

Enter secured password to extract the encrypted image file..


2. S-Tools

Create a simple text file which has the data you want to hide. Save a cover photo in which
the data will be hidden. Just run the .exe file and drag the BMP file to that window.

Then drag the text file over the image and select the encryption algorithm to embed the file.
The options available are IDEA, DES, triple DES etc.

Select a passphrase that will be used to reveal the hidden files from the images. Just use
the same process to reveal the contents that have been hidden in the file.
Decryped file created just by drag and drop the Txt file into the image file….

To Decrypt the final image file by click the reveal option and provide passcode
Encryption algorithm types:

IDEA, DES, Triple DES, MDC

After given the passcode the hidden txt file will shown in separate box…
