YouTube can be used effectively for educational purposes in classrooms. Teachers are able to find instructional videos on nearly any topic from YouTube's vast library of educational channels. Some examples given include a science teacher showing a video about animal adaptations from the SciShow channel, or a student creating their own YouTube video for a history project. While YouTube provides free and flexible access to educational content, teachers must also be aware of potential distractions for students from non-instructional videos.
