Note: Tour Cost to be paid will be based on actual attendance of joiners, because this is a cost sharing. That is why I need your commitment on this.
3. Transportation
For Tour Only
Let me know if you want your airport transfer arranged. I usually arrange the airport transfer so as to check your attendance upon arrival at the airport.
Upon arrival in the airport, either JayJay Van Driver 09284083105, Gerald 09212652210 or Danmar 09205404488 will fetch you.
If you are lodging at Princess Of Coron or Mt Tapyas Hotel, airport transfer will be provided by the lodge.
Just look for the "DIY Coron" sign or YOUR NAME. The van will take you to your intended destination. Fare is P150/head/way or P300/head roundtrip. When
going back to the airport, the same van driver will seek for you. Please ignore other airport transfer offer.
4. Food
Lunch food could be included in the day trip, but not in the half day trip. When it is an island overnight, 4 meals is usually covered. Meal is composed of grilled
seafood (catch of the day such as fish or squid), ready-to-eat vegetables (such as cucumber, tomato, grilled eggplant, and seaweeds), fruits (such as banana
lacatan), water and softdrink. For 1-4pax number of joiners, only water would be provided, no softdrink.
Dinner at Coron town is not covered. My estimate cost for this when you eat at carenderia is P50-150 per meal. Sample breakfast items (when in island
overnight) are fried or plain rice, corned beef, dried fish or squid, fried egg, coffee or tea, bread, sausage. There are days when fresh seafood catch is scarce
due to strong sea waves and during peak time. When this happens, alternative pork or chicken may be combined with some seafood, or it could be purely
pork or chicken meat food.
5. General Safety & Health
Do not hold on or step on to rocks or coral when in the sea or lagoon. The rocks there are very sharp. I have seen injury from this seeming harmless stone.
Do not jump from the boat or from a higher platform. Avoid touching the sea urchin, when snorkeling always lay flat. To avoid jellyfish, always look what's
Do not forget to bring the following: Sun block lotion, anti-mosquito lotion, shades or cap or hat, light windbreaker such sarong would do, light raincoat (during
rainy season, serves as cold wind breaker), your personal medicine, etc.
First aid kit is available from the boat captain.
6. Snorkeling Gears
The joiner or the user is responsible for the caretaking of the snorkel gadget when used. If damaged or lost, a corresponding payment will be collected. The
price of the snorkel set depends on the brand. The user or joiner should personally get it and personally return it to my staff Judith.
7. Island Overnight Lodging
Banana Island have decent but basic native closed rooms, fan room, with mosquito net, some rooms are with private cr, some with shared cr, generator
electricity is from 6pm to 12mn, rationed fresh water supply.
8. Pay Actual Fee Note
10/4/2010 Page 2 of 3
Final Note 10 09 Maria Xy-Za Oro JG196-4P
You might notice in the itinerary of a Lusong destination, that you will see a "pay actual fee" note in the spots of Lusong Wreck, Lusong Coral Garden, and
Gunboat Wreck. The entrance fee collection here is variable - sometimes they collect fee, sometimes not. Because of this, I decide not to include this in the
Tour Cost. And instead you will have to pay the actual entrance fee of P50/pax per spot, should somebody collects entrance fee on those spots.
9. Environmental Advocacy
Please bring your own re-usable drinking cup or mug. A plastic bottle can also be used in refilling your drinks, but its narrow mouth may make refilling quite
difficult. In this way, the use of disposable plastic cups will be minimized. My guide would always buy disposable drinking cup. But let us try not to use that by
bringing our own re-usable drinking cup/mug/bottle. This is just one way of making our environment clean.
10. Payment
Payment of balance is to be done on the spot before the start of the tour or one day before. This will give your guide and boatman time to buy and prepare
food and supplies.
Deposit is non-refundable. In case of airline's flight cancellation, Deposit can be reused within 2 months time. The deposit sent into my account is sent
immediately to the reservation of lodging/boat/van.
11. Cancellation
Cancellation means canceling a confirmed trip. A fee will be collected should there be cancellation. The Cancellation Fee goes to the reservation of the
van/boat/lodging/guide/food/etc. In Joining Groups, the group that initiated or expressed cancellation will be the one to shoulder the cancellation fee.
Cancellation Fee is almost always equal to the Initial Deposit made before the trip date.
12. ATM in Coron
There are 3 ATMs in Coron, Landbank, Allied Savings Bank, and BPI. Landbank and Allied uses Globe signal, which is weak in Coron. Therefore, expect it
would always be offline. Better bring cash. As for BPI, I will have to verify the signal they use (newly installed bank).
13. Boat Availability
The boats offered here, namely Boat 1, Boat 2, & Boat 3, are promo-rate boats. It could mean that boat rent rate might be cheaper than the standard rate.
When Boats 1,2,3 suddenly becomes unavailable due to some uncontrallable events like boat damage or repair, we will have to get another boat. I call this
boat as Boat 4 or 5 and so on. This Boat 4 or so might have a higher boat rent rate. Thus, an adjustment in tour cost will take effect. Or you will have the
option to cancel this deal or whole arrangement, and the deposited amount can be refunded back to you.
14. Waiver.
In exchange for this tour, the Joiner agree to waive and release Owen Floro J. Ferrer III or DIY Coron on any and all claims arising from or in any way
connected to the tour resulting from any accident or injury that may occur during the tour.
15. Testimony, Comment, Feedbacks
I do value your comments and feedbacks, positive or negative. If you have just declined my tour offer, I would really appreciate it if you could drop me an
email, and tell me why you are not availaling the tour. If you have availed my offer and done with the trip, I would appreciate it also if you could post a
testimony on this site http://diycoron.wordpress.com/my-joiners-feedback/ . And I will do my best to improve the service of the people I get in Coron. Please be
kind on your remarks. :) Thanks!
Until Then.
