1.1. This procedure defines the requirements for preserving and protecting product, raw materials,
or other key process outputs.
1.2. The SSE In-charge is responsible for implementation and management of this procedure.
2. REVISION AND APPROVAL
4.1. All documents are stored in a manner that prevents nonconformance. Location Matrix has
been drawn and the material is kept in marked location
4.2. Locomotive Workshop, Northern Railway, Charbagh, Lucknow follows all the instruction as
mentioned by the client for the project activities.
4.3. The Factory Manager reviews any recurrent material damage linked to currently approved
protection methods to ensure changes are made to properly protect materials.

4.4. Material is stacked to prevent damage from contact with other parts or crushing or falling. If
required, material is used to separate from other material to prevent damage.
4.5. Special safety is taken by wearing protective gloves, Safety shoes and Helmets during
Handling.
4.6. All parts and materials are protected from weather conditions that could adversely affect them.
5. PACKAGING
5.1. Good accepted packaging practices that maintain product conformance and integrity through
delivery are Maintained as received. Customer-mandated packaging requirements are
captured and utilized when required.
