Algebra Spring 2020

The document outlines the contents and materials for an online algebra class taught by Amir Parvardi. The class is divided into three sections on inequalities, polynomials, and functional equations, with 10-15 sessions per section taught weekly starting in late April 2020. The class is designed for students aiming for national and international olympiads, covering topics like AM-GM inequalities, polynomial factorization, and periodic functions at a challenging level. Pricing is listed for registering for one, two, or all three sections.

1 Class Details
1.1 Schedule
In the next section of this document, I have written a rough list of the materials which will be
provided in my online algebra classes. The order of the topics will be different in the classes but
my goal is to cover them all. The classes are divided into three sections: inequalities, polynomials,
and functional equations. There will be between 10 to 15 sessions per class, and I will be teaching
one session (2 hours) of each class every week starting from the last week of April 2020.

1.2 Difficulty level

The classes are designed to help students (grade 8 or higher) aiming for their country’s national
olympiad as well as international mathematical competitions such as IMO, APMO, etc. Most
problems in the classes are chosen from recent mathematical olympiads from around the world,
providing a variety of difficulty levels to help students with different backgrounds. The first few
lessons of the classes in all three sections (inequalities, polynomials, and functional equations) will
be focused on providing the prerequisite materials for the forthcoming lessons.

1.3 Pricing
I will be teaching three classes in olympiad algebra: inequalities, polynomials, and functional
equations. You can choose to register for one, two, or all the three sections. The price for each
option is listed below.

No. of Classes No. of Sessions Price Price/Class

1 10 − 15 395 USD 395 USD
2 20 − 25 690 USD 345 USD
3 30 − 40 885 USD 295 USD
