Week 7 Digital Music Lesson Plans
We will be using a program called “Quaver” for the rest of this year for music lessons. Quaver is
an interactive music program called Quaver’s Marvelous World of Music™. We will be using
activities, songs, and some videos from the Quaver program as part of my lessons on everything
from theory and playing instruments to music history. Quaver’s World is engaging and
interactive, and I know you are going to love it!
have used Quaver in music class through my account, but I would like for all students to create
student accounts so that I can assign lessons to you for the rest of this year. There are also lots
of fun music games to play on this site as well. You may need your parent’s help to create
your account. This is required for grades 3 – 5 and optional for grades K-2.
1. Your music assignment is to make a Quaver account. Below are step by step
directions on how to make an account on Quaver.
2. You can also customize your avatar with the features that you like after you create
your account.
Directions to Create Your Quaver Music Account
1. Go to www.quavermusic.com
2. Click on the purple “Sign Up” button in the top right corner of the screen
3. Type in the student’s first and last name in the box “My Quaver Name”
(***do NOT use any spaces or caps)
Example: My Quaver Name: kelleykim
Write Your Quaver name here: musicteacher (can be any appropriate nick name)
4. Type in the student’s birthday in the box “My Password” in this format (MM/DD/YEAR)
Example: My Password: 01/07/2010
5. Type in your birthday again in the box “Confirm Password”
1. Type in my email: [email protected] in the box “Email Address”
2. Click to check the “Agree” box next to “Terms of Use”
3. Using the list below, find your special class code by looking below in the box “Quaver
Code”
Example: (If you are in the 5th grade, you would put the code for 5th grade which is
958C2)

4. Click the green “enter” button at the bottom of the page to complete your sign-up; going
forward you can now access the site through the GREEN LOG-IN button
5. If your screen asks about “Flash”, click on “Allow Flash”- you MUST have Flash Player
running to use most of the content on this website!
