GED 105 Readings in Philippine History


Finals

The student will be given a particular topic and expected to submit a research document with the
following part:

I. Introduction
 brief introduction of the topic (not more than 5 sentences; researchers should use
their own words)
II. Background of the Topic
 explanation of the topic (a mixture of own words and from the references used)
III. Argument and Evidences
 state your main point/argument/claim
 provide evidences that support your argument/claim such as advantages or
disadvantages; pros and cons
IV. Summary and Conclusion
 researchers to formulate their own argument, considering if they are against or in
favor based on the presented evidences.
 explain the basis of their own argument
V. Recommendation
 recommend possible solutions to the problem or improvements/amendments to an
existing program or law to address any gaps (at least 5)
VI. Relevance and Importance
 the significance of the topic to the current socio-economic condition of the country
VII. Bibliography
 list of all the references used in the research document
VIII. Video Presentation
 group members to create a video where each member will state his/her reason why he/she
would vote in the 2019 midterm elections. His/her statements should be in relation to the
topic that was assigned to their group; video should not exceed eight (8) minutes; click links

The grading of the research document will be divided into two parts. The video presentation and
content of document: maximum of 20 pts. for the video presentation and 60 pts. for the content of
the document, a maximum of 80 pts.. The said document and video will be graded based on the
given rubrics.

For the format of the research document: font: Arial, font size: 11, spacing: 1.5, margin: 1 inch each side, paper
size: 8.5x11. The said document should have a cover page with the title of topic, section and names of group
members. The typewritten document and the video presentation should be saved in a folder of the class USB.
