The document provides a character analysis of Superman from the 2013 film "Man of Steel". It summarizes that Superman discovers he has powers but fears being treated as an outsider if he uses them to help people. The actor who plays Clark Kent/Superman fits the role well with his build and appearance resembling a superhuman. Initially, Superman's personality was more aggressive, but he develops a more compassionate trait over time. SUPERMAN 2

The man of steel film produced in 2013 presents a super-powered alien who discovers

that he has powers but cannot explicitly use them. He has the fear that if he continues rescuing

and helping people with his powers, then he will be treated as an outsider. The star Clark kent

perfectly fits in this role bringing in the absolute effect of fantasy (Kozlovic, 2016). Kent looks

like a middle-aged man. He has a horrifying face and a well-built body. It is the body shape that

makes him look like the real superhuman. The superman was a Caucasian man, and the reason

for maintaining this appearance was to ensure that the morality expected in all the superman

series will have the same taste. It is about the concept of nurture over nature.

The superman’s initial personality was rough and more aggressive, especially on the

criminals (Happ, Melzer, & Steffgen, 2013). This personality may point out the belief of the

American people of the work of the mighty God. He is seen as being able to severely punish

those who do not follow the right path and exalting those whose paths lead in the right direction.

The aggressiveness depicted does not come out rightly from the superman but only when he is

provoked.

Clark is currently taking a different trait of the human heart and being compassionate.

However, he is still known for his ability and enormous powers to save and punish those who are

going astray. The actor is a better pick for an archetype of Jesus due to his ability to depict some

sense of kindness and good heart which can be compared with Jesus Christ’s character. It shows

how the American people view religion (Kozlovic, 2016). They understand it as not only a route

for continuous punishment but an opportunity presented by the mighty being to earn another

chance of survival as seen in the way the superman is acting. If there were a lead protagonist

woman, the powers and the ruthlessness of the superhuman would be more visible depicting the

character of the American people, which makes them fear and not question the powers of Jesus.
