1P Practice List of principal commands

LIST OF PRINCIPALCOMMANDS

Open a new patcher


<Com mand-n/C ont rol-n>

Switch between edit mode and performance mode


<Command -e/Cont rol-e>

Open and close the palette


Double click on a Patcher W indow to call up the palette. To close, click on the
blinking target above t he palette.

View all of the icons in the palette


To see all of the icons in the palette, click on t he All button at t he top left of
the palette.

View the Max window


<Comma nd-m/Con tr ol-m>

Cancel an in-progress patch cord when "Segmented Patch Cords" is


selected
<Command-c lick/Control-click>

Align the objects in a patcher window


Select + <Comma nd-y/Contro l-Y>

Open the inspector for an object


Select+ <Command-i/Cont rol-i> OR
Select + click on the icon containing an ' i' wh ich is at the bott om of a Patcher
Wi ndow OR
Hover halfw ay up the left edge of an object, and then click on the small blue
circle that appears conta ining an 'i'

View the object list


Click on the fi rst object in the palette, top -left, and an object box will appear.
Hover over t he left edge of t he object wh ile the cursor inside t he box is blinking,
and th en click on the small blue circle that appears containing an equal sign
(' =').

Make floating yellow hints appear when you pass the mouse over an
object
Hints are entered via t he inspector: in edit mode. from the Hint tab of the
inspector, enter hint text

Make annotations appear in the Clue Window when you pass the
mouse over an object
Annotations are entered via the inspector: in edit mode, from the Hint tab of
the inspector, enter annotat ion text
